Bonnie Rodini: Casting Director, Writer, Producer, Director

Bonnie Rodini is an Emmy nominated Casting Director for the Netflix show "One Piece". She has worked as a producer, writer and director and casting director in the television and film industry for 30 years. She is most known for her feature film “The Story of an African Farm” starring Richard E. Grant and her award winning independent film "Good Life". She has also produced and directed numerous inserts for local broadcasters and studied acting in New York. 

Bonnie Rodini's career in film began in New York in 1990 as assistant to director James Dearden on the film "A Kiss Before Dying" starring Matt Dillon and Sean Young.

After returning to South Africa she started working for South African television, as a director /producer in 1996 by producing "South Africans in London" for the SABC. She also produced and directed interviews with Richard Branson, Charlize Theron, Calvin Klein, Kate Moss, Dave Matthews and Georgina Grenville.  Her other work includes inserts for the MNET show Front Row, Carte Blanche for MNET and Trailers and promotions for etv . She also went on to produce EPK’s for a number of films for Universal films and BBC.

The Story of an African Farm was her first feature film as a producer and writer. The film was sold worldwide to BBC, Sky, Showtime in America, Poland, Greece, China, New Zealand and Netherlands.

She wrote, directed and produced her Indie film “Good Life” which which won 7 international awards.

She has a 3 season sitcom "Dancing with myself" and full length thriller "I.C.U." in development.
